We are in awe of how beautiful this cupcake display from Greenpartygoods.com is. And guess what? It is all eco-friendly (just like our wrappers- Dorothy polkadots displayed). So if you are as environmental conscious as we are, this is the perfect cupcake display for your next big event.

The Breakfast Club

There is a trend sweeping the food world, and cupcakes are not immune to it. What is it? Bacon! There’s bacon flavored mayo, liquor, even bacon flavored envelope glue. Well, now even the dessert world has been hit with bacon flavored cupcakes.

We at Bella Cupcake Couture were curious. Would it be like maple syrup and bacon? Salty? Greasy? Or would it be the greatest food combination in history? We went to Yellow Leaf Cupcake Co. to find out.

There they had just unveiled their new bacon cupcake, being touted as the new “it” Valentine’s Day gift for men. Its official name is pancakes and bacon. We were skeptical but oddly I had never been so excited to eat a cupcake in my life.

We hurried back to the office immediately running in the door, grabbing a knife and cutting the cupcake into thirds to share among the team. The first bite was interesting, soft moist cake with crunchy bits of bacon. I was so intrigued that I continued to eat it amidst the amount of mapley butter cream frosting on my face. Final verdict. Great, I loved it! I would definitely, probably eat one again.

The Sweetest Day

We had an amazing time at the Seattle Wedding Show this weekend. We met so many wonderful brides, their mothers, mothers-to-be, bridesmaids and great friends. They shared when they are getting married, stories of how they met their future husbands, wedding colors and themes. We even had one ask for a custom zebra print design. We are going to love working on that one.

We had many sweet comments on how beautiful our display was so thought we would share some photos from the special day.


Our display featured our Meisha design, a delightful pattern inspired by natures own sweet Millinery birds. This delicate design displays perfectly paired and playful birds perched upon cherry blossom branches. A perfect theme for a day focused on planning a special wedding.


We shared our booth with two other businesses who share our passion for cupcakes and weddings; New York Cupcakes and Clara French. We were also joined and supported by a darling photographer Amanda from the Art of Sublety (who is currently giving people an opportunity to win a free engagement photo session on her site) and Celeste Cooning added her artistic touch with her beautiful paper display on our booth backdrop.

We enjoyed putting our display together and hearing from so many who loved it. What's best is we look forward to helping them put together their dream wedding!! Blissfully sweet!

Swooning for Cooning

Each day I'm amazed by the many talented individuals in the world. Today's post has really made me sway with much joy.

A few weeks ago I was introduced to Celeste Cooning, a paper artist. She creates these beautiful works of art that you see behind this bridal model. What an elegant touch to a display.

I will get to witness her work in person this weekend at the Seattle Wedding Show. What's even better is she will be adding one of her works of art to our Seattle Wedding Show booth (#1301) backdrop.

Our theme will be centered around Meisha design which is a delightful pattern inspired by natures own sweet Millinery birds (symbols of love) perched upon cherry blossom branches.

Minnie Mouse meets Bella Cupcake Couture

How cute are these little darlings?


The owner of Bakerosity, Shauna made these cupcake toppers for a client and paired them with our Bella Cupcake Couture cupcake wrappers.

These sweet treats are for a Minnie Mouse themed 2nd birthday party. Shauna is going to send pictures from the event once available.

A Charming Little Wink

After much anticipation, Wink Cupcakes has finally opened their doors! And they were welcomed in true Seattle fashion – by light rain, friendly customers, and pink balloons. A few of us from Bella Cupcake Couture headed down to Seattle to get a glimpse, and a taste, of this new addition to the cupcake community.

While we were there we decided to do a cupcake tasting! A glorious invention, if I do say. Each of us picked out a flavor, divided it into thirds, and took time to enjoy the taste of each!


We picked out Lemon, Peanut Butter, and Red Velvet and it is hard to say which one we liked better! The Lemon flavor had a light, spongy taste with creamy frosting. Peanut Butter took me back to the days of savoring every last piece of candy from Halloween and was absolutely delicious. Red Velvet, with cream cheese frosting, was a classic with its rich taste and tangy frosting.

The owner Deanne and her friendly employees even were gracious enough to stop and take pictures with their yummy cupcakes!
