Pie a' la Bella

We were honored to be a part of the dessert display for the wedding of the former editor, Ali Basye of Seattle Bride and her now new husband Todd.

All the French pastries were created by the Tallant House. The spread was truly amazing; from home made marshmallow Smores, tarts, chocolate domes and more. All... simply delicious!

The centerpiece featured our Bella Cupcake Couture Olivia Sea Blue
and Olivia Silver/White with individual pies set into each wrapper.

You might say they are "Strong enough for a pie, but Made for a Cupcake". (some fun advertisement humor. Do you recognize the slogan? If so, include in comments below)

Each Pie a' la Bella was placed sweetly on a beautiful Clara French cupcake stand.
White cupcake stands with other pastries were provided by Totally Tabletops.

The whole display and French-inspired wedding set up was absolutely gorgeous! The wedding will be featured in an upcoming article. We will keep you posted.

The Sweetest Day

We had an amazing time at the Seattle Wedding Show this weekend. We met so many wonderful brides, their mothers, mothers-to-be, bridesmaids and great friends. They shared when they are getting married, stories of how they met their future husbands, wedding colors and themes. We even had one ask for a custom zebra print design. We are going to love working on that one.

We had many sweet comments on how beautiful our display was so thought we would share some photos from the special day.


Our display featured our Meisha design, a delightful pattern inspired by natures own sweet Millinery birds. This delicate design displays perfectly paired and playful birds perched upon cherry blossom branches. A perfect theme for a day focused on planning a special wedding.


We shared our booth with two other businesses who share our passion for cupcakes and weddings; New York Cupcakes and Clara French. We were also joined and supported by a darling photographer Amanda from the Art of Sublety (who is currently giving people an opportunity to win a free engagement photo session on her site) and Celeste Cooning added her artistic touch with her beautiful paper display on our booth backdrop.

We enjoyed putting our display together and hearing from so many who loved it. What's best is we look forward to helping them put together their dream wedding!! Blissfully sweet!

Swooning for Cooning

Each day I'm amazed by the many talented individuals in the world. Today's post has really made me sway with much joy.

A few weeks ago I was introduced to Celeste Cooning, a paper artist. She creates these beautiful works of art that you see behind this bridal model. What an elegant touch to a display.

I will get to witness her work in person this weekend at the Seattle Wedding Show. What's even better is she will be adding one of her works of art to our Seattle Wedding Show booth (#1301) backdrop.

Our theme will be centered around Meisha design which is a delightful pattern inspired by natures own sweet Millinery birds (symbols of love) perched upon cherry blossom branches.
