I'm a Martha Stewart "Doer of the Week"

Oh my, I am bouncing around like the happiest girl in the world.

Over a year and a half ago, when I started dreaming of starting my own business, I could never imagine the amazing response I've had. It has been pure enjoyment every day. I love to know our cupcake wrappers are bringing smiles to so many and adding a special touch to their special occasions. In particular, the many weddings and baby showers which have featured our cupcake wrappers. What a privilege to be a part of such a special memory for so many.

And what an honor to be chosen! Thank you again Alexis and team at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia for selecting me for the Doer of the Week. I'd also like to thank all of you who support me with your kind comments and the photos you send of how you are enjoying your cupcake couture each day. And last but not least, an extra special thank you to my amazing husband, family and friends for listening to me talk cupcakes almost every second of the day.

Last fall, Carrie Middlemiss learned that she would be laid off from her banking job of 18 years in just a few months. Rather than look for a new position, however, Carrie decided she would start her own business. "I became obsessed with cupcakes," she recalls. "I had an idea to cover the bottom of cupcakes with something more chic. Why should the frosting have all the limelight?"
