Tastefully Entertaining
I found a new blog that is absolutely delectable. The site is called Tastefully Entertaining. They have so many fantastic ideas, themes, designs, and patterns to drool over.
I was particularly taken with this Damask theme. Look how terrific it looks with our Lu Lu design in Chartruese/Soft Yellow and Black & White.
Here is a snippet from their blog "This lovely combination of bold hues and the class damask pattern is an elegant theme for many types of parties - bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, dinner parties, engagement parties, holiday gatherings, etc." For the full article click here.

Cupcakes in Vancouver, BC
During my visit to Vancouver, BC I had to find the nearest cupcake shop. Anyone I asked on where to find one always mentioned " You have to go to Cupcakes".
'Cupcakes' was founded and is run by Heather White and Lori Joyce, two best friends who grew up together in Victoria on Vancouver Island. They originally opened their first store on April 12, 2002 and now have five locations in the Vancouver and Surrey area.
The decor was darling, the staff super sweet and they have a huge variety of cupcakes to choose from.

Hagensborg- Truffle Pig Love
I fell in love with Hagensborgs Truffle Pigs chocolate last weekend while visiting Vancouver. I'm not sure why I haven't found them before but oh so happy I did.
The peanut butter is absolutely dreamy and the dark noir is so smooth. I haven't tried the Kiss Me frogs yet but they are darling to look at.
Not only do they have amazing chocolates; I also got to meet the owner and one of her employees. Both were a couple of some of the sweetest women.

Cupcakes meet Fashion- and Eco-friendly too!
Happy Earth Day!
Bella Cupcake Couture textile-inspired wrappers are not only elegant; they are Eco-friendly. We use soy-based inks on recycled papers for all our adorable wrappers.
On April 14, we had a mention on Fashion Ethic blog, which is an online boutique offering an edited selection of fashion forward and forward-thinking apparel and accessories for the fashionista who craves style and substance.
On April 14, we had a mention on Fashion Ethic blog, which is an online boutique offering an edited selection of fashion forward and forward-thinking apparel and accessories for the fashionista who craves style and substance.
Here is what they said:
"Carrie is yet another example of a designer who is making "Fashionably Responsible" decisions in running her business and creating her products. Using recycled paper and soy based inks makes thes lovelies completely eco-guilt-free and gorgeous!
So dress up your cupcakes at your next birthday, shower, or party. You'll find a pattern and color scheme to fit any celebration. And if you need an excuse (as if you needed an excuse to enjoy a beautiful cupcake), we recommend the chartruese patterns for this week's Earth Day!

Totally Tabletops: DIY Dessert Buffet
You can always find something dreamy on the Totally Tabletop blog. And their DIY Dessert Buffet is no exception. Who doesn't like dessert or a buffet? But put the two together and you are in heaven.
We are also proud that their DIY Dessert Buffet post also included a Bella Cupcake Couture mention as a posh addition to the table decor.
Interview with Jessie Oleson of Cakespy and featured on Cupcakes Take The Cake!!!
Two of the hottest cupcake and baking sites featured me last week! I am so honored.
I'd like to send a HUGE thank you to Jessie Oleson of Cakespy who posted her interview with me for her website last Thursday.
Here is an excerpt:
In recent years, cupcakes have gone from being simply small cakes to flat-out cultural phenomenon. It seems that a new cupcake shop is opening just about every hour on the hour, and the obsession has spawned not only bakeries but a number of businesses which cater to the cupcake lover (including, um, this website). One natural progression is cupcake accessories--such as the sweet, textile-inspired cupcake wrappers made by local startup Bella Cupcake Couture. We recently got a chance to talk cake with proprietress Carrie Middlemiss--let's learn a bit more about her business and thoughts on the compelling little cakes and their place in culture, shall we?
Jessie also posted a very tasty recipe for Cotton Candy Cupcakes and utilized our Bella Cupcake Couture wrappers and her cute little Carnie Cuppie toppers as a final decorating touch. Superb!
The Cupcakes Take The Cake blog also posted the recipe and photo of our wrappers on their site as well.
If you haven't visited these sites before, they are a must-see! I read them on a daily basis. Enjoy!
Thanks again Jessie!!! And also to the ladies of Cupcakes Take The Cake. I hope to eat cupcakes with you all in the future.
Now sold at New York Cupcakes
Great news! Bella Cupcake Couture wrappers can now be purchased at this delicious cupcake shop in Bellevue. Their cupcakes are so moist and delicious. Here are some photos of their cupcakes in our couture wrappers.
